Dynamic Crossroads (D.C.), started in 2003. We are ministers, trainers, mentors, and spiritual guides located in urban Washington, DC. We use one-on-one or group intervention training that can give new insight into living.
Our youth aimlessly walk the streets or stand on corners “hustling” drugs at an astronomical rate. Dynamic Crossroads is in place to show youth their potential for greatness and their purpose for being. We give them direction where they see none. We empower youth to a more focused and peaceful way of living.
Adults walk through life with deadness in their eyes, anger on their tongues, and sorrow in their hearts. Dynamic Crossroads desires to show people a new light. We want to show you that there is hope, love, faith, and comfort within you and not in the world.
Visit with us for a while and relax and enjoy a motivational moment. Register for the October woman’s conference on abuse and if you are in need of a helping hand or a positive word feel free to email us.Remember!
Folks have been wondering when is Socks N' Sandwiches going to the streets.
Here are the selected dates:
Friday, December 18, 2009 (on the street by 7 pm)
Friday, January 22, 2010
(on the street by 7 pm)
Saturday, February 20, 2010 (on the street by 11 am)
I am hoping to have enough items to cover all three dates but if not we will work with what we have. Be sure to visit the dollar store for socks, hats, gloves, and whatever else you can get. If you have blankets that are not tattered with holes please feel free to donate them. I ask that you wash the blankets before donating.
If we have no more than socks and sandwiches that will be enough. Please schedule a drop off time with me. There are 10 days before we hit the city streets. The drop off location is:
Imani Temple on Capitol Hill 609-611 Maryland Avenue, NE Washington, DC 20002 (6 blocks from Union Station)
Please feel free to solicit stores and ethical organizations for socks, hats, gloves, long johns, blankets, etc. If you have any questions please feel free to call me at (202) 489-3752 or email me at: womanpriest@msn.com.
This is the seventh (7th) year of Socks N' Sandwiches and the number 7 represents perfection; so I am really excited about this year's efforts. Let's be excited together as we reach out and get donations from other sources and let's take DC's homeless population by storm!
HUGS AROUND THE VILLAGE was a success! The children provided 350 pairs of socks, 175 bags of food, 75 pairs of gloves and 50 toothbrushes. The gloves and toothbrushes were the first to go. These items went in exactly 42 minutes.
The children are going back to CCNV Shelter two days before Christmas with scarves, hats and gloves.
